Administrators from all over the U.S. and a wide range of different schools have traveled to Berlin to familiarize themselves with the German Higher Education system: Due to free tuition, high quality of academic training and successful incorporation of vocational aspects, Germany is attractive to students from the United States. Simultaneously, the language barrier and non-matching academic calendars pose challenges. Many German schools overcome these for instance by offering tailored degree programs and summer schools in English, as the U. S. administrators found out during their site visits of various schools in Berlin.
After a comprehensive introduction into the German Higher Education System and its internationalization through lectures, discussions and campus visits, the participants have now split up into groups and are traveling to various schools in Germany for hands-on experience outside the capital. Stay tuned for more updates on their adventures here!
