The conference “Building Bridges” is hosted by the German-American Fulbright Commission in partnership with the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. The conference is open to Fulbright grantees and alumni, the University of Arkansas’ community and all interested guests.
Drawing on Fulbright’s global legacy, the conference "Building Bridges" gives participants the opportunity to discuss the current challenges of building bridges across borders. What does it mean today to actively foster mobility, exchange and collaboration? And how do we manage to extend the privileges that come with exchange grants to a talented, while ever more diverse group of citizens?
Part of the “Wunderbar Together” campaign focusing on German-American friendship, the international conference seeks to investigate the role Fulbright’s educational and cultural exchanges have played in American public diplomacy and foreign policy since the end of the Second World War. The conference also seeks to demonstrate how educational exchange can empower individuales to “build bridges” in society and to become citizen ambassadors advocating for continued international understanding.
Registration to the conference is possible until May 1, 2019. Find more information here
