For the second time, the Fulbright seminar “Education in Germany – Good Practices and New Perspectives” at the University of Regensburg offered 15 American teachers from various regions, subjects and types of school an overview of the German educational landscape.
The two-week long seminar not only included information sessions on educational topics, but also site-visits to the Academy for Professional Development of Teachers and Personnel Management in Dillingen or a refugee shelter as well as visits to different schools in Regensburg, which helped to better understand the local school system.
The insights into day-to-day-school routine were complemented by cultural excursions and of course by many formal and informal discussions with German teachers and teacher trainees, administrators, students, and university experts.
