Our new program partner, the University of Connecticut in Storrs, hosted 15 teachers from all over Germany for a 2-week professional development seminar in March on their campus.
The main goal of this program is to provide the participants with a look behind the scenes of a different educational system through school visits, talks by experts as well as via formal and informal exchanges with school authorities and peers.
To offer a well-rounded program the hosts took their German guests to local cultural events and offered a field trip to Boston.
Inspired by their time in Connecticut, the participants came away with an updated view on the U.S. in general and on the American school system in particular and are eager to share the many ideas and suggestions with their colleagues at home.
