This new, four-day seminar will bring together up to 24 German and American curators, educators, and other professionals working in museums or similar institutions. Gathering at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., participants will explore museums as spaces for social discourse and learning – and, by extension, as institutions which are vital for democracies.
The seminar is organized by Fulbright Germany and the Leibniz Association, in cooperation with the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. It is part of the Deutschlandjahr USA.
This award covers the costs of the seminar, including round-trip transportation to Washington, D.C., hotel accommodation (single rooms), excursions, group meals, and local transportation.
Applications are welcome until July 31, 2019.
