Fulbright Scholar (2016/2017) Kenny Fries presented his research project at the Berlin Seminar 2017. For his book "Stumbling over History" he focused on the Nazi Aktion T4 "euthanasia" program and its connection to the Holocaust as well as to current issues such as rising nationalism and anti-Semitism across the globe and current debates including assisted suicide and prenatal testing.
Some of the research was basis for "The Nazis' First Victims were the Disabled," which was published in The New York Times. Recently published is In the Province of the Gods, which received the Creative Capital literature grant, and was supported by an earlier Fulbright Scholar fellowship in Japan.
