Congratulations to our journalism program alumna!


Madeleine Schwartz, a 2016 Berlin Capital Program alumna, has won the 2019 European Press Prize – the biggest journalism prize in Europe – for writing on transatlanticism and German-American relations. She was honored during a ceremony in Warsaw at the Gazeta Wyborcza headquarters on May 23 for winning the Opinion Award category, “for a remarkable textual interpretation of the world we live in.” The European Press Prize celebrates the highest achievements in European journalism, and is awarded in five categories, each worth €10.000.
