Jun 03, 2019
We cordially invite you to our Trilateral Science Slam in Göttingen on June 3, 2019, where six young Russian, American and German scientists will share the stage to present their original research results in their native languages and “duke it out” during successive 10-minute rapid-fire “performances” - with simultaneous translation of the Russian slams into English.
Can “environmental enrichment” really reduce the risk of dementia for you and your children? What can a 4th century Syrian Byzantine mosaic synagogue floor teach us about satellite surveillance? How is algae in Antarctic sea ice like forensic evidence at a crime scene? The topics are intriguing – but will the slammers’ personalities knock you out?
You, in the audience, are the jury and decide who wins!
The slam will be hosted by Drew Portnoy with simultaneous translation of the Russian slams into English (headset loan made in exchange for a valid ID card).
