Dec 13, 2017
At the end of the year the Friends and Sponsors of the German-American Fulbright Commission will gather for their annual General Meeting. On December 13, 2017 the associated members, mostly Fulbright alumni from the business and cultural sectors, will discuss this past year’s successes and challenges at Fulbright.
BTW: Association members are investing in the most talented and promising bearers of hope in our society.
This past year six participants in the Fulbright Diversity Initiative were once again financed through members' generosity. The program was held again at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. The photos and videos presented by this year's grantees will give members a strong impression of the program’s worthwhile benefits.
Three good reasons for supporting such young, high-performance students through the association:
First, in the fast-growing cohort with immigrant background, students oftentimes still trail in managerial experience and international experience;
Second, the demographic shift in Germany is changing both markets and commercial relationships, requiring existing talent to be more accessible and exposed to global environments abroad;
Third, a higher proportion of grantees within these groups creates visible role models in their own environment.
