On May 24, 2018 Executive Director Dr. Oliver Schmidt , his colleagues and Fulbrighters from all over the world came together to advocate the Fulbright Program, its mission and its role in international diplomacy on Capitol Hill.
Different smaller teams met with 32 Congressional offices from 18 states to educate them about the Fulbright Program, share the impact and ask for their continued support.
Senator John Boozman of Arkansas offered remarks of welcome and support during an advocacy training session. "There's simply no substitute for your being here today and talking with members of Congress," he shared.
