SHORT TERM PROGRAMS

The Fulbright Commission offers two short-term programs, which match American professors and other experts with interested German Universities.

a) Through the Intercountry Lectureship Program German universities can apply to have a Fulbright professor, who is already in Germany or Europe, give a lecture at their institution.

Here are lists of American Fulbright Professors

1.) in Germany - 2010/2011
2.) in other European countries 2010/2011 http://www.fulbright.fi/index2.php?lang=en&m=3&id=1253
3.) in other countries 2009/2010 - discipline | country

b) The Senior Specialist Program allows an organization to apply for Fulbright sponsorship of an American professor or other specialist to lecture at their institution for two to six weeks.

The funds for this program have been exhausted, new applications can be submitted after October 1, 2010. We regret the limitations.

OTHER PROGRAMS

In addition to the short-term programs, there are also other Fulbright programs, which bring American professors to German institutions for longer periods of time. There are also programs for students, teachers, and others active in the fields of education, academia, and science.

The Fulbright Program also offers opportunities for German citizens.
