Berlin Capital Program
The Berlin Capital Program is administered annually by the German-American Fulbright Commission on behalf of the German Foreign Office, which provides the funds for the seminar. The 2009 program invited 16 young American journalists and students of journalism to Germany to introduce them to a variety of themes shaping our discourse on the German media landscape. Read more...

Teacher Spring Seminar
The 2010 Teacher Spring Seminar for German teachers has been announced and the response has been tremendous. From the excellent pool of candidates the Commission could select 22 participants who will visit the USA in April of 2010.
Seminar for German Administrators in International Education
This one-week U.S.-based professional advancement program will take place April 19-23, 2010 in Washington, D.C. It is directed at a participant group chiefly made up of representatives from the international offices of German universities. Also included are study abroad advisers, exchange coordinators and those administrators who serve as policy makers for the internationalization of their university. Read more...
German Studies Seminar
The two-week seminar covers wide areas of contemporary Germany with program portions in Berlin and other cities in eastern and western Germany. Diversity Initiative
The Commission will launch a new program for young students with immigrant background in Germany and in the USA, in addtion to the existing Diversity Programs. The new "Discover Germany - Discover USA" program will offer 20 U.S. and 20 German students an opportunity to participate in a five-week long summer academy in the other country. The seminars include language and cultural studies, networking with host country students and educational and culture excursions. The program is largely financed through a substantial contribution by the European Recovery Program (ERP) of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and by contributions of the Hertie Foundation, the University of Kentucky and the German-American Fulbright Commission. Baden-Württemberg Seminar for American Faculty in German Studies
The Baden-Württemberg Seminar offers a two week networking seminar for instructors of German at U.S. partner universities. The seminar is based at Tübingen University. It includes visits to other universities in the state.
Participants will have the chance to become acquainted with German departments of Baden-Württemberg universities, and several workshops will offer relevant topics. The program will also include class visits to observe instruction for international students and it will include meetings and discussions with German faculty and administrators.
