U.S. Administrators Seminar 2008
The Fulbright Commission hosted 24 U.S. university administrators in November for a two-week intensive seminar on German higher education with a special focus on international relations, career services, fundraising, and alumni networks. The group stayed in Berlin and met with relevant institutions and experts before splitting up and visiting different universities around the country. The visit led to many new contacts across the Atlantic.

Berlin Capital Program
The Berlin Capital Program, added to the Fulbright Commission´s scholarship opportunities in 2006, was established upon the recommendation of the German Foreign Office’s Department of Communication to include young American journalists in the German-American cultural exchange, to introduce them to present-day Germany, and to help them expand their professional networks on this side of the Atlantic. The Berlin Capital Program 2008 took place in Berlin and Leipzig from November 15 to 23, 2008 and introduced 15 American journalists and journalists-to-be to a variety of themes shaping the German political, social, and media landscape.
