The participants discussed the philosophy of teaching, teaching implementation strategies and best practices for creating a culture of teaching within universities. The German experts met their American colleagues from university learning centers and centers for teaching excellence, learned about state and nation-wide scholarship and teaching collaborations in the U.S. and the challenges of teaching the Millenium Student. The participants explored which elements of the American teaching practice may be successfully applied to the German system.
