On October 9, 2008, the third conference of the workshop series “International Dialogue on Education – Berlin” took place at the Ludwig Erhard Haus in Berlin. Under the heading "Exploring Difference – The Challenge of (Post)graduate Education", experts from Australia, Canada, USA and United Kingdom presented the wide variety of postgraduate education in Anglo-Saxon countries and offered best practices as well as new developments from their respective countries. The experts discussed with more than hundred participants successful administrative frameworks for graduate schools/postgraduate education and the relationship between Master and PhD programs within postgraduate education and between professional degrees and other postgraduate studies. Speaker for the US was Diana Bartelli Carlin, Director of International at the Council of Graduate Schools, Washington, D.C.

The next conference will take place on April 30, 2009 and will deal with the topic of university branding and marketing.
