Thanksgiving Event
The Fulbright Commission introduced the tradition of the “Fulbright Family for a Thanksgiving” event when it moved to Berlin 7 years ago. Since then, each year, and together with a different organization the Fulbright Commission hosts an evening on the eve of the actual American Thanksgiving holiday to assemble all American Fulbright grantees in Berlin together with many German alumni and friends of the program.
On November 21, 2007 at 6 pm the Fulbright Commission and The Hertie School of Governance invite to this event. The evening will be opened by a discussion on the “Relevance of Fulbright Exchanges” with Prof. Andrew Arato (American Studies, New School University), Fulbright Distinguished Chair holder at the Frankfurt/Main University, and Prof. Hendrik Enderlein (Political Studies, Hertie School of Governance) Fulbright Distinghuished Chair in German Studies 2006/2007 at Duke University. Following their remarks will be a traditional potluck turkey buffet so that grantees, alumni, and friends of the program can meet, share their experiences and build new networks or strengthen existing ones.
