We are pleased to inform you about the launch of the new workshop series International Dialogue on Education Berlin, a joint initiative of the German-American Fulbright Commission, the British Council Germany, the German Academic Exchange Service, the Australian Group of Eight and the Canadian Embassy in Berlin. Through the contributions of international participants the series aims to enrich the debate on science, research and higher education policy in Germany, to place German perspectives in a global context and to learn from positive examples from other countries.

The opening event of the series will take place on October 15, 2007 at the Canadian Embassy in Berlin and will focus on the topic Excellence in Teaching. Experts from Australia, the UK, Canada and the USA will be sharing their national experiences of competition, quality management and quality assessment in the field of university teaching. Participation in the event is by invitation only and participants must register in advance.
